HERE COMES YOUR MAN fails to surprise
HERE COMES YOUR MAN is billed as a Dekkoo original series, and I wish I had more positive things to say about it. The plot is standard, and the dialogue is lame. Omar Salas Zamora is the writer, director, and producer.
Calvin Picou is earnest and giving as Jordan, a young man coming to terms with his sexuality. As he learns the gay terrain of sex, friendships, and yes, even threesomes, you want the best for him. I wish he would have demonstrated the musicianship to convince us he was a rising composer, but his guitar and piano work are not of professional caliber.
Jason Alan Clark does his best playing Aaron, scripted as a whiney character stuck in a rut. All his friends say the new relationship will end badly, and indeed it does. Noelle Miller and Clay von Carlowitz are lively as the ill-suited couple's supportive friends.
Telling a story with no surprises is unfortunate when so many new stories remain untold.
